Nicholaus building owners accuse Schenectady of recklessness

The owners of the recently-demolished Nicholaus Building in Schenectady, New York have filed a claim against the city, reports the Times Union.

The claim accuses the city of "regligently and recklessly" demolishing the building.

The building at the corner of State Street and Erie Boulevard was demolished earlier this month after the city determined it was a threat to collapse. The 200-year-old building has been empty since Thai Thai Bistro moved out, complaining of the structure's instability....
