Foreign countries want the names of 4,450 clients from Swiss bank

The UBS bank in Switzerland has confirmed Britain and Australia have asked for bank details of their nationals on the back of information that was given to US authorities to settle a tax case.
UBS has said that tax and regulatory authorities in a number of jurisdictions have requested the information on cross-border arrangements.
British and Australian tax offices have confirmed that investigations are underway into offshore services from UBS and other Swiss and non-Swiss financial institutions.
The original US investigation was into how UBS helped rich Americans hide money in Switzerland. Email this story to a friend

Britain and Australia want answers from Swiss bank UBS
UBS has broken multiple laws in a variety of countries. These include the following:
1. Auction Rate Securities scandal in the USA
2. Madoff investments scandal in Luxembourg
3. Foreign exchange manipulation in London
4. US offshore business in Switzerland
It is imperative that public as well as private clients review and scrutinize the actions of UBS in order to be informed.
