FAIZABAD, Afghanistan -- Four people lost their lives and two others sustained injuries as a landslide hit a village in Afghanistan's northern Badakhshan province on Monday, provincial administration official Mawlawi Mohammad Akram Akbari said Tuesday.

The natural disaster took place in Sholar-e-Payen village of Yawan district on Monday evening, killing the four on the spot and injuring two others, said the official. (Afghanistan-Landslide)
