TEHRAN (Tasnim) Iran defeated Thailand 80-62 on Wednesday to secure a spot in the semifinals of the FIBA Womens Asia Cup 2025 Division B.
- Sports news -Irans top scorers were Negin Rasoulipour with 20 points and Roxanna Barahman with 19 points. For Thailand, Rattiyakorn Udomsuk scored 18 points.
In previous Pool B matches, Iran defeated the Cook Islands 82-32 and Mongolia 89-55.
The tournament is currently underway in Shenzhen, China. Group A consists of Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan, India, and Tahiti.
The team that finishes at the top of the tournament will earn promotion to Division A.
