Chinese premier congratulates Thai PM on re-election

BEIJING, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Tuesday sent a congratulatory message to Anutin Charnvirakul on his re-election as Thailand's prime minister.

In his message, Li said that China and Thailand are close, friendly neighbors and a community with a shared future, enjoying a lasting friendship characterized as "China and Thailand are as close as one family."

As 2025 marked the 50th anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic ties, Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua paid a state visit to China, during which Chinese President Xi Jinping and the king reached important consensus on advancing the China-Thailand comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, Li noted.

Li added that he is willing to work with Anutin to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and to coordinate the advancement of practical cooperation across all fields, in order to push for greater progress in building the China-Thailand community with a shared future in the next 50 years.
